Safe Listening Recommendations
Your hearing is irreplaceable — and at ACS Custom, we’re committed to helping you protect it while delivering the highest quality audio experience. Whether you’re on stage, in the studio, or listening casually, following safe listening practices ensures you can enjoy your music for life.
Recommended Listening Tips
1. Keep Volume in Check
Aim to listen at no more than 60–70% of your device’s maximum volume. If you're using custom IEMs, their superior seal and isolation mean you don’t need to crank the volume to hear clearly.
2. Take Listening Breaks
Give your ears a rest. After 60 minutes of listening, take a short 5–10 minute break to reduce long-term exposure.
3. Be Aware of Your Environment
In loud environments, avoid turning your volume up to compensate. Instead, rely on the noise-isolating properties of your ACS IEMs to block out background noise safely.
4. Know the Signs of Overexposure
Ringing in your ears (tinnitus), muffled hearing, or discomfort are signs of listening fatigue or potential damage. If you notice these, reduce your volume or take a longer break.
5. Get Your Hearing Checked
Regular hearing tests (especially if you’re a musician or audio professional) help you stay aware of your hearing health.
